The Design Element

Here we go for round 3 of badges in design! I don't have much to add to my previous commentary on the subject. Instead I just want to remind myself/you that these fun little flourishes serve a purpose. Use them to attract attention to the key action items of you page. Wasting them on comments like "To Cool For IE" is just a bad idea. Why waste the focal point of your design on a meaningless statement? As far as I am concerned, if that is the most significant thing you have to say (which I presume is since you put it in such a hot spot) then what else could you possible have that I want to read? Just my two cents on the topic.

Enjoy the links, these sites have used badges for a reason, some more powerfully then others, but all have a purpose. (By the way, the list was much longer, but many of the sites changed since I cataloged them, so the list kept shrinking. And rather then skip the topic for now I figured I would post the small set of links)
