The color blue is perhaps one of the safest colors to use for a web site. It can apply to nearly any subject simply because blue is one of the most well liked colors. Have you ever heard someone say they universally don't like blue? Blue is calming, safe, and feels very trustworthy; this is perfect for the web, where you never know who to trust. The color blue can be used to your advantage in countless ways. Take a look through the list of connotations below, the color offers everything from patriotism and superiority, to sadness and depression!

Connotations of blue : Patriotism, stability, power, trustworthiness, conservative, water, coolness, fun, cold, defeat, trouble, calm, strong, steadfast, light, friendly, confident, safe, corporate, intelligence, unity, sad, depression, old-fashioned, mourning, richness, superiority, truthful, loyal, faithful, noble, scholarly, unexpected, harmony, unity, clean, and technology.
