The Design Element
The color brown falls into one of the lesser used color categories, and yet it can yield some absolutely beautiful results. It can create tasty delicious visuals that pull us in. I don't know how to explain it but many of these samples really draw me in and make me want to linger. I love the natural down to earth feel they create. Perhaps it is my personal preference for the color, or maybe it is more, maybe there is something about the color that we connect to and identify with. I am not sure what it is, but I like it. Connotations of brown : Warmth, comfort, steady, conservative,
earthy, natural, nature, down-to-earth, wholesomeness, simplicity, friendliness,
dependability, health, honesty, old, and aged.
