Collage Style Sites Part 2
2nd edition — by Patrick McNeil — Oct. 8, 2006
The Design Element
Collage style sites are a joy to look at. It is no doubt due to the fact that they break away from the confines of the computer and create an environment that defies the typical rules of the web. No orderly boxes with text neatly aligned. It is like cutting loose. I can't wait to see how the support of transparent PNG's in IE7 will affect this trend. Imagine all sorts of transparent elements that could be loaded randomly, or in patterns, to create an infinite variety of effects.
