The Design Element
The basic gradient is a real design work horse. From depth and dimension, to shine and polish, the gradient works its magic. Often times it isn't the focus or theme of the site, but as you can see from some of the samples it can be. Although the element might seem like a rudimentary part of web design, it is great to look at other peoples solutions and challenge ourselves to consider new and creative ways to use the same old tools. That is the key after all isn't it. Nothing is really new, it is just a fresh take on something old.
