The Design Element
Minimalism is a relatively popular style. I originally thought it would be
appealing because it would tend to lead to less complex web sites. The irony
of this is that many of the samples here are actually done in flash and are
animated in ways that bring these other wise "simple" sites to life. It seems
to me that the perfect balance for a minimal site is sticking to the ideals
of minimalism with just a touch of extraneous stuff to dress it up and give
it something engaging.
