The Design Element
Minimal design is most certainly an underrated approach. It is also commonly underrated in terms of difficulty to pull off. Most "minimal" sites end up just looking half done. Polishing up the style to a point where it feels complete and yet still minimal is painfully hard. As much as I get caught up in the over the top concepts of many sites it can be a real relief to come across a minimal style site. Especially when I want to consume their content. I wish more programming sites were done this way.
