The Design Element
It is amazing to see the date on the first edition of the Nature topic and see that it was done more then a year ago. Has it been that long? Have I gone a year and only come up with these few sites? That hardly seems possible, and yet, that is all I have. It seems the use of nature as a design element is a bit on the decline. You might call it an un-trend. Certainly the style can be beautiful and well executed just like any other style. But ultimately it is like any other element, it shouldn't be used because it is trendy, it should be used when it solves the design problem effectively. In the case of these sample sites it does just that. Nature ads the needed bits of softness and sometimes happiness that is required. Other times it is just more literal, but all the same effective.
