The Site Type

Portfolio sites are perhaps one of the most fun topics to view, primarily because they are unthethered by client demands. This form of design tends to reflects an individuals core aesthetics and sensibilities. As such they can be a great place to look for what is up and coming. I often see elements of trends pop up in a portfolio design that later becomes a very common practice. Enjoy the samples:
