The Site Type

Certainly one could dedicate an entire site to portfolios alone. There are thousands upon thousands of them; and an equally large amount of absolutely beautiful ones. If your a designer looking to establish an online portfolio you are in for a long painful road. I have yet to meet a designer who published their first concept, or even their second; for most it is more like their 14th. I am certainly no where near satisfied with mine, but in the end few of us have the time we need to put into them.

For this set of sites I once again tried for some diversity. Not all of them are the most astounding; some are very basic for sure. But they are all effective portfolios. Hopefully the variety will spark some ideas for something fresh. After all your portfolio site is your chance to try something new, or explore an aspect of design you don't' get to do in your day to day work. Above all things, just have fun with it.

Oh how i wish i could find a well talented designer to help me with my portfolio.
So often iīm told that they can only do it in flash, which is useless as i need to be able to update it easily with a CMS.

Thanks for featuring my portfolio as an example. It feels really good.

A nice selection. But how much work is involved in updating some of these? It looks like a lot of work for some of them, and thatīs a shame, as they really are all nice.

yeah, I canīt imagine some of these are easy to keep up to date. But if it pays off in terms of jobs and what not, it would seem it is worth it.
