The Site Type
This set of sites relating to religion mostly fit into the Christian category, and many of them are actual churches. There are a few other types of sites mixed in, but in general all of these sites are geared to represent the church and God in some way online. What strikes me is the how beautiful the set of thumbnails is. This is no set of lame home grown sites. These are beautiful well developed sites.
Coming from a church background I am all to familiar with how hard it is to get anything together, especially something as complex as a website. Clearly many of these church's are large enough that they probably contracted the work out. But still, the fact that such beautiful sites have been built by traditionally low budget, low tech organizations is amazing.
