Stripes Part 2

The Design Element
I am beginning to feel like a broken record, but what stands out to me
most about the usage of stripes in these designs is how the stripes weren't
just thrown in to fill space. They actually fit with the style of the site
and create a unified look. If this were not true, looking at these samples
would be completely pointless.
The most common rendition of stripes is the gray diagonal background one.
Perhaps it is because the gray is easy to fit in, and the stripes give a
bit of life to the dead space. This is of course not a universal solution,
but one that works quite well when appropriate.
