The Design Element
I have expanded my scope of tiny sites to include some a tad larger, but in some way these sites have all chosen to be confined to a smaller space then necessary. Some of them are extremely narrow, others are fixed size all together. I commonly make fixed width sites, but it is more in the interest of maximizing screen space while maintaining full control. It is good to remember that there are other options as well.
