The Design Element
Ultra Pop is yet another category of sites I simply can't keep up on. So
many of the popular sites right now are using this. I must say I don't mind.
The whole web 2.0 thing is going towards fun, easy, and fresh content that
the connections make perfect sense. I find this style of color showing up
in a lot of my work, I can't resist the tasty colors.
I tried to be sure and include a mix of sites that range from over the top
usage, to very subtle minimal usage of these highly saturated colors. Both
can work well, and some of the sample sites are simply outstanding.
A few connotations of ultra pop : Fun, fresh, new, young,
hip, easy, simple, exciting, happy, and cheerful.
