The Design Element
You might simply say that these sites take the idea of creating an atmosphere in a sites design to an extreme. All of these sites whisk you away to someplace else; it might be an ipod interface, an old mac, outer space, or a typical office setting. The whole point is to establish the look and feel of somewhere other then a typical web site. This is great fun and really does make for a unique experience.
